Deb Norton's idea of the week
As your tech mentor, I would like to share a resource, tip, idea, or thought with the staff each week. I hope you enjoy getting some ideas and feel free to share your own resources with the rest of us. I am open to suggestions on how I can improve my posts or make this blog more useful for the classroom.

Multiple Intelligences and Learning Styles
Would you like to find out how your new students learn best?
*Check out this site. It has an online survey to take on multiple intelligences. When you are finished, you will see your intelligences listed in order from high to low.
*This is another survey to give to students on Learning Styles. Students can find out if they are a visual learner, auditory learner or kinesthetic learner.
Free Stuff on Brain Pop
Hi Everyone,
This week I would like to tell you about a great web site for kids called Brain Pop. This site is great for teaching students about a variety of topics in all subject areas. The students first watch a movie, then they can do activities that go with the movie and also take a quiz. There is also a Q and A section that works well for class discussions and there are other resources that go with each video such as timelines and experiments. In order to access all of Brain Pop's resources you need to subscribe to the site. However I have found the free items that they offer to be very useful and they change which videos and activities are free each week. To see all of Brain Pop's free resources click here.
